Born Jamika Wright, DJ Lady J was raised in Charleston, South Carolina and later moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she is furthering her music ministry. She is under the leadership of Pastor Walter & Verna Hills of Times of Refreshing Intercessory Outreach Fellowship. She became a Christian in 2004 and a devoted Christian in 2009. At a very young age, DJ Lady J began experimenting with instruments and her love for music grew. She began deejaying and emulating some of the top DJs in music. In 2009 she gained the interest of Troy Edwards (CEO of 3HP Records) and provided various services to 3HP Radio Show. Less than a year later, DJ Lady J would become one of the most popular female DJ’s in the southeast. Inspired and encouraged by Christ and fellow DJs, DJ Lady J began deejaying Gospel events and eventually started a career as a Gospel DJ.

           Her love and passion for Gospel music led to radio where she met Bryant Seabrooks and co-hosted “Club 3:16,” a hip-hop gospel show for two years. As the radio career of DJ Lady J progressed, she became a radio personality sensation to the Urban Gospel community being named the #1 Female Voice! DJ Lady J has worked for 106.3 WJNI the most credited gospel station in Charleston, SC. Currently DJ Lady J is host of her very own show “Ministry Heat Radio” which can be heard on urbanbuzzradio.com, trueswaggradio.com and increaseradio.com. She also performs at various gospel events at churches and conventions all over the country.

The performance credits of DJ Lady J include: official DJ for Prize Musik, DJ for Gospel club The 47 Spot and DJ for concerts that featured the likes of: Canton Jones, Erica Cumbo and Buddy Crunk. In 2012, DJ Lady J was nominated DJ of the Year in the southeast by the Crunk4Christ Radio and SC Music Awards. In addition to being one of the top Gospel DJ’s in the gospel music industry, DJ Lady J has a production company that includes: commercial voiceovers, radio imaging, promo spots for concert commercials and host DJ for Gospel concerts and church events and gatherings.
